I picked this sconce for our entryway and it looks gorgeous against the pale wall. The brass has a soft warm glow, not too shiny, and the glass cylinder gives off that lovely candle-like light in the evening. We had an electrician mount it for us and it sits perfectly at eye level. Every guest who walks in comments on it. The size feels just right for the space, not too big, not too small. I love how it makes the hallway feel warm and welcoming the moment we open the door. The clear glass shade was my pick and it shows the bulb softly which I think looks really nice. Quality feels solid and it has held up well in the few months since installation. We installed this in our living room on either side of a tall mirror and it looks very nice. The brass has a lovely warm tone and the glass shade is clear and clean. The light is soft enough for evening reading but bright enough to fill the space. It feels well made and the design is simple, which I really appreciate, it does not compete with the rest of the room. The size works well in our somewhat tall living room. Overall a very nice piece that adds a touch of quiet elegance to the wall.
