We put the 12 inch one above a framed sketch in the dining room and it does the job well. The bronze finish blends in nicely with the wood buffet and does not pull attention away from the art. The arm swivels just enough to tilt the shade toward the picture and the light spreads evenly across the glass so there is no weird hot spot in the middle. The plug in style worked for us since we did not want to deal with any wiring and the cord tucks behind the frame where you cannot see it. At dinner when the chandelier is on low this little light gives the art a gentle highlight that feels warm and welcoming. It feels sturdy on the wall and the backplate sits flat against the drywall. A nice simple update for the dining room.

Bought the 18 inch antiqued brass for above a landscape painting in our family room and it looks really sharp. The light reaches the full width of the frame which was important since it is a pretty wide piece. The classic gallery style feels timeless and matches well with our traditional living room furniture. The arm adjusts easily and stays put once you set it so we do not have to fiddle with it. The patina on the brass has a soft hand rubbed look that pairs nicely with our wood bookshelves on either side. In the evening with just this light on it makes movie night feel extra cozy and the painting becomes a feature on the wall. Glad we went with the bigger size it fills the space well.

We picked the 12 inch size in bronze for the gallery wall above our sofa and it was such a good choice.
