Our kitchen island is fairly long so a standard round pendant would have looked strange above it. This rectangular chandelier turned out to be the perfect solution. The proportions work so well with the length of the island and it gives the whole kitchen a more finished, pulled together look. I love that there are no glass panels, the bulbs and candle sleeves are exposed so the light spreads everywhere and there is nothing blocking it. We use the dimmer all the time, bright in the morning when we are making breakfast and soft at night when we are just sitting at the island with a glass of wine. The steel construction feels solid and the finish has held up nicely with just a soft dry cloth wipe down now and then. It is honestly one of the best purchases I have made for our home.
