Placed this floor lamp in the entryway of our house and it instantly warmed up the whole space. The minimalist shape fits in well with the rest of the decor and the bronze tone pairs beautifully with our console table. At night the light greets us softly when we come home, no more stumbling around in the dark. I also use it during dinner parties in the dining room, just slide it close to the table and it gives off the nicest ambient glow. The telescoping stem came in handy because I lowered it for the dinner setting and raised it back up for the entryway. The shade pivots easily and the light is focused but not harsh. The slim base tucks neatly behind the chair or table. The fabric cord is a small detail I appreciate, it looks cleaner than a plastic one. Truly a versatile piece that works in more than one room. Got this for the den and it has become my favorite spot in the house in the evenings. The light is just warm enough to feel cozy without being too dim, and the shade angles perfectly over the couch for knitting or just chatting with my husband. The brass finish looks elegant against the dark wood bookshelf behind it. The base has good weight to it and the lamp does not tip when the cat dashes by, which is a real plus in this house.
